MINSK (BelTA) – There are plans to open a Turkish culture center in Minsk in March 2018, BelTA learned from Belarusian Culture Minister Yuri Bondar.
In his words, the Turkish culture center will allow Belarusians to better get familiar with the culture and traditions of Turkey. The project was discussed as the Belarusian culture minister met with a Turkish delegation on 28 November. The delegation had arrived in Minsk to participate in Turkish Culture Days in Belarus. The Turkish Culture Days are scheduled to take place in Minsk and Mogilev on 26-30 November.
Yuri Bondar noted that Turkey and Belarus had been cooperating in cultural affairs, organizing art projects, performances by collectives and individual artistes, workshops and cinema days for a long time. The possibility of opening a Belarusian culture center in Turkey will be discussed later. It will become a new step in the advancement of cultural ties between Belarus and Turkey, concluded Yuri Bondar.
